These terms describe how we work together when you bring a watch to Rattana for servicing or restoration, or when you use our website to make an enquiry. We have written them as plainly as we can. Please read them when you have a moment, and feel free to ask us anything that needs clarifying.

Services and Quotations

When you bring or send a watch to us, we will assess it carefully before any work begins. For most services, we will provide an estimate of the likely cost and work involved before proceeding. Where the scope of work may change once a piece is opened and examined, we will contact you to discuss what we have found and agree on the next steps before continuing.

No work will be carried out that has not been discussed and agreed with you first. We understand that each watch is personal, and we will not make decisions about your piece without your knowledge.

Our current service prices are listed on our website as a guide. The final cost may vary depending on the specific condition of your watch, parts required, or additional care needed. We will always make this clear before you commit.

Leaving a Watch with Us

When you leave a watch in our care, we will record its details and condition at the time of intake. We handle all pieces with care and keep them secure on our premises. We take responsibility for the watch while it is with us, and will let you know of anything we notice during our assessment that you should be aware of, whether or not it relates to the requested service.

We ask that you let us know of any known fragility, prior repairs, or other relevant history of the piece before we begin. This helps us treat it appropriately from the outset.

Collection and Completion

We will notify you when your watch is ready. We ask that you collect or arrange return of the piece within 30 days of notification. If a longer period is needed, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. We cannot be responsible for pieces left uncollected for extended periods without communication.

For heirloom and restoration work, we will provide a written summary of the work carried out, which you are welcome to keep with the watch.

Payment

Payment is due upon collection of the watch or, for work arranged remotely, prior to return. We will agree payment arrangements with you before work commences. Accepted forms of payment will be confirmed at the time of your visit or enquiry.

Limitation of Liability

We take every reasonable precaution when working on your watch. In the unlikely event of damage occurring while a piece is in our care, we will discuss this with you openly and work toward a fair resolution. Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided or the assessed value of the damage caused, whichever is lower.

We are not liable for pre-existing damage, wear beyond our ability to restore, or issues that become apparent only after a piece is returned to regular use, where these were disclosed or reasonably discoverable at intake.

Our website is provided for information about our services and to allow you to make enquiries. The content is intended to be accurate and helpful but is not a formal offer or contract. Prices and availability are subject to change. We are not responsible for errors or omissions on the site, though we will correct them when brought to our attention.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any disputes that cannot be resolved between us informally will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.
