Our Approach
How every service begins
Every piece that comes to Rattana follows the same initial process regardless of which service has been requested. This ensures nothing is missed and that you are fully informed before any work starts.
The scope of each service is defined before it begins. If the assessment reveals something outside that scope, we contact you. The work proceeds when — and only when — you agree to it.
Intake & Condition Photography
The piece is photographed under consistent lighting. Existing marks, scratches, and surface conditions are recorded before any handling begins.
Assessment Under Magnification
Movement and case are examined carefully. For gem-set pieces, stone settings are checked at this stage. Findings are documented and shared with you.
Quote Confirmed, Work Agreed
The cost of the service is confirmed and any additional findings discussed. Work begins only when you have agreed to proceed.
Service Carried Out & Documented
Work is completed at bench. Every step is noted, lubricants recorded, and any parts replaced are listed with the reason.
Collection with Written Record
You collect the piece with a printed service record covering all findings and actions. We walk through this with you before you leave.
Service 01
Ladies' Watch Servicing
Careful servicing of smaller dress and ladies' movements, including full cleaning, calibre-appropriate lubrication, and seal checks. Handled with attention to delicate cases throughout. We discuss any cosmetic considerations before starting, and the movement is regulated and tested before return. Well suited to elegant pieces worn for special occasions or kept as sentimental items.

Gem-Set Case Cleaning
Gentle cleaning and inspection of stone-set cases and bracelets, checking all visible settings for security and refreshing the finish where appropriate. We work cautiously around set stones throughout — checking each setting under magnification before any cleaning begins — and keep you informed of anything that may need attention. A considered service for finer dress pieces where the stones are part of what makes the watch worth caring for.

Heirloom Restoration
A patient, full restoration for treasured family watches combining movement work, exterior care, and a written record of everything done. Each step is shared with you and nothing proceeds without agreement, preserving both the piece's working condition and its history. A fitting choice for a watch you hope to hand down — one that will arrive with its new keeper carrying a clear account of its life.

Across All Services
Standards that apply to every piece
Secure Custody
Every piece is logged on arrival, photographed, and stored in a locked cabinet. You can call at any point during the service to confirm status.
Client Communication
We contact you if anything outside the agreed scope is found. Work does not continue without your decision. Timelines are communicated and updated honestly.
Correct Lubricants
Lubricant grade is matched to the calibre. Using the wrong type accelerates wear rather than preventing it. We follow established technical references for each movement type.
Written Records
Every service produces a printed record. For heirloom restorations, records are cumulative. All records are yours to keep and to pass on with the watch.
